The Reno Tennis Center is the heartbeat of the local scene — 24 courts, daily open play, and the full competitive circuit.
The Reno Tennis Center (2601 Plumas Street) operates 24 outdoor hard courts with structured open play daily: Monday–Friday 6pm, Saturday–Sunday 7am. The facility provides comprehensive programming including Ladder Leagues with weekly DUPR ranking updates, Foundations 101 beginner instruction, Play Builders tactical development (2.5–3.0 DUPR), Training Squad tournament preparation, and DUPR calibration events. The pro shop (Monday–Friday 8am–6pm, Saturday–Sunday 8am–2pm, 775-689-2975) offers demo paddle programs and gear selection by skill level. Open play uses the Paddle Rack rotation: four paddles in the rack equal the next game; winners maintain position for maximum two consecutive games when queues exceed 8 players. RTC averages 40–60 daily players. Membership includes court priority but open play is available to walk-ins. Regional tournaments (Spring Classic, Reno Open, The Championships) run April–August.
