Universal Rating System

Pickleball
Skill Levels
in Reno.

DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) is pickleball’s universal ranking system, running from 2.0 to 8.0+. Reno’s active community averages 3.2 — that middle range where the game starts getting genuinely interesting. Foundation players (2.0–3.0) are working on the serve, return, and kitchen line basics at public courts. Tactical players (3.0–4.0) drill dinks and third-shot drops at the RTC Ladder Leagues, which update rankings every week. The 4.0+ crowd competes in sanctioned DUPR tournaments. Most Reno players progress about 0.5–1.0 DUPR levels per season with two or more sessions a week. Your rating determines which open play sessions make sense for your level.

Universal Rating Protocol

What is DUPR?

Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating is the global ranking system that eliminates the subjectivity of “self-reported skill level.” It uses real match results to calculate your exact position in the community.

Algorithmic Precision

Removes subjectivity by analyzing real match results. Your DUPR rises and falls with every registered game.

Local Integration

Required for RTC Ladder Leagues and regional tournaments. Without a DUPR, you can’t compete in the right bracket.
